As with many other patrons, I only went to Kafe Kalik because my Priority Plus membership will cover $28 of my bill! Ordered a chicken curry bowl for $11.77, and a Caesar salad with chicken for $14 and change in order to get my full value! As you can see from my picture, my server decided since I'd ordered a chicken curry bowl, that I shouldn't have chicken on my salad and I was served shrimp instead! The shrimp were small and pretty much tasteless. A poor value for the $4.00+ it added to the cost. The salad itself was nothing exciting either, and something I probably would not order again. My curry chicken bowl on the other hand was quite tasty! Also, I'm guessing the cook was confused and it was my lucky day, because the bowl was supposed to come with two chicken thighs and I got a whole half chicken! And this was a chicken size chicken, not a pigeon size chicken! The meat was very tender, tasty, and fell off the bone! Definitely something I would order again. I found the food and service decent, and I'm glad, since it's the only Priority Pass participating location at Fort Lauderdale Airport. I'm sure I'll be visiting again!
Good thing we found this place in the FLL Airport because otherwise it would have been Burger King next door. There is not much here food wise. Had the jerk chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries which was very good but expensive. ($20.00). Service was fine and they did not rush us--we sat for about 1.5 hours. Food came out pretty quick. If you are not on a budget, get the jerk chicken sandwich here.
Fantastic food, huge portion. Definitely full after done there. The service was a little slow because I was eating as a single and I had to wait for a table for a single to open up. Once the table opened up, quick and easy service.
Ok so wait... I know it's the airport, and I had a 3 hour layover, but this food is really good!! I only went in because the other places were packed and I swear I'm happy I did! The spicy chicken curry bowl is 12$ and it comes with rice and two chicken thighs! And the curry was spicy and delicious and the chicken fell off the bone! If you're in terminal 4 in FLL, trust me... try this spot!!
We arrived at 8:55 and the kitchen closed at 9! We were ready to leave when we saw kitchen closing but Bartender said "please sit and lets get your order in". What a great airport restaurant. Go in and tell Trevor Hello .!
